Bastet — goddess of protection, fertility, music, and the home — was one of the most beloved deities of ancient Egypt. Originally depicted as a lioness, she softened over time into a domestic cat goddess, yet her fierce protective nature never faded. She was celebrated with music, dancing, and offerings of sistrum rattles. Today, practitioners call on Bastet for protection of home and family, for healing, and for the courage to honour one's own wildness.

Bastet – Egyptian Goddess Statue – Hand-painted Antique Finish

Bastet is the cat goddess of ancient Egypt — deity of home, fertility, music, dance, protection, and the rising sun. Originally depicted as a fierce lioness goddess, she gradually transformed into the elegant domestic cat figure beloved across the ancient world. Yet the lioness never entirely disappeared: beneath the grace of the cat lies the ferocity of a mother protecting her children.

She was worshipped at her great temple in Bubastis, where enormous festivals drew hundreds of thousands of pilgrims each year — celebrations of music, wine, and joy that the Greek historian Herodotus described as the most festive gatherings in all of Egypt. Her sacred animal, the cat, was so revered that killing one — even accidentally — was punishable by death.

Bastet carries a sistrum (a sacred rattle), a basket, and sometimes a small lion-headed aegis. She is the protector of women, children, and households; the goddess of pleasure and the warmth of the sun; and the fierce guardian who burns away illness, evil spirits, and all that threatens the home.

In modern practice, Bastet is called upon for protection of the home, for joy and celebration, for healing from illness, and for the courage to embrace both gentleness and fierceness as two sides of the same divine nature.

Material: Cured 3D printing resin / abs-like resin / tough-resin.
Manufacturing method: SLA - Resin 3D printing
The item is hand-painted, sealed, or finished with acrylic paints, pigments.
Although the resin is fully cured and finished, the item is intended for decorative use only. Avoid sanding, cutting, drilling, or modifying the product, as resin dust may be harmful if inhaled.

Temperature resistance: Keep away from heat sources, open flames, heaters, candles, fireplaces, and direct sunlight for long periods. Excessive heat may cause deformation, discoloration, or damage to the finish.

Dust gently with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth.
Do not use cleaning agents, alcohol, solvents, abrasive sponges, or harsh chemicals.
Avoid rubbing, scratching, soaking, or prolonged contact with water.

Do not place the item in a dishwasher, microwave, oven, or near any heat-producing appliance.

Do not burn the product.
