One figure is decor. Three is a scene.

The hooded figures were sculpted to be grouped. Different poses, one silhouette. A single piece disappears on a full shelf, three of them turn the shelf into something people ask about.

RESIN FIGURES AND PLA DESK PIECES

Two families, one workbench

Two different things share this page. Hooded figures cast in resin and painted by hand, and desk figures printed in full colour. Different machines, different rooms — the same workbench in Darmstadt.

About the hooded figures

Every figure in this collection is printed in UV-cured photopolymer resin at 0.05 mm layer height, then cleaned, sanded, primed and painted by hand. A single figure takes around 6 hours of hand work — which is why no two are perfectly identical.

Gothic and mysterious shelf decorations.
Made for dark academia interiors, gothic home decor and collectors who want a shelf that tells a story rather than one that holds ornaments.

They are built for shelf edges, windowsills, desk corners and mantelpieces — the places where an object is seen every day rather than admired once. Dark academia interiors, fantasy collections, home offices that should feel like somewhere rather than anywhere.

Faceless by design

None of the hooded figures has a face. That is deliberate. Without features the figure reads as a presence rather than a character, and the eye follows the fall of the cloak instead. It is also what makes them work in a group. Six identical faces would look like merchandise. Six identical silhouettes look like a scene.

Poses, not variants

Each figure is a separate sculpt: crossed legs, one leg angled, kneeling with hands on the legs, lying prone, legs hanging over an edge, and a draped cloak. They are designed to sit on shelf edges, windowsills and monitor stands.

Desk figures, printed in colour

Dragons and desk figures are printed in PLA full colour and sized for a desk rather than an altar.

They are made to be picked up. Bright, graphic, and tough enough that the person who walks past and turns one around does not do any damage.

Big enough to have presence, small enough that the monitor still fits.

Poses, not variants

Every colour is painted onto the model in software before printing, and the printer swaps filament to match. The colour is the material, all the way through — it cannot chip, rub off or wear thin the way paint on a surface can.

That also decides the look. Transitions are crisp and graphic rather than blended, and the layer lines stay visible. That is what a printed object looks like, and on these pieces it is the point rather than a flaw.

Each colour change costs material, because the printer has to purge the old filament until the new one runs clean. That is the plain reason a six-colour figure costs more than a two-colour one.

Resin or PLA

Neither one is the better version of the other. They are two materials that do two different jobs.

  • Resin holds sharp edges and fine surface detail, and it is painted by hand in metal tones — it is dense, cool in the hand, and fragile where the parts get thin. It belongs on a shelf in low light.

  • PLA is lighter and tougher, the colour is printed rather than painted, and the layer lines are part of the look. It belongs on a desk, where people pick it up.

Desk Buddies

Colour that is printed in, not painted on

KODA is made with multicolour FDM printing: several filaments layered during the print, so the colour is structural rather than decorative. It cannot chip, fade or peel — which matters for an object that gets picked up.

Questions

When will my order arrive?

Shelf figures ordered today arrive by ….
Shipping to Germany costs 5.99 EUR, free over 50 EUR.

Custom shelf-figures made from a photo take longer, because the model is sculpted and approved before anything is printed.

What is the difference between a set and three singles?

Nothing in the pieces. A set is three of the individual figures in complementary poses, bundled at 94,99 instead of 104,97 EUR. Set A and Set B contain different poses, so you can buy both without duplicates.

Can I mix my own set of three, six or nine?

Not through the shop yet. Send a message in the meantime and it can be arranged by hand.

Resin or PLA, which should I pick?

Resin for detail and weight, which is the hooded figures and the statues. PLA for colour and price, which is the desk dragons. Resin feels closer to cast stone, PLA closer to a well-made toy.

Are the figures really painted by hand?

Yes. After printing, each Hooded figure piece is washed, cured, primed and painted individually. Two figures of the same sculpt differ slightly, and that is the point.

Are the dragons painted?

No — and that is the point. The colour is built into the PLA print, layer by layer, so it cannot come off.

Can I return a custom figure?

Custom-made items are excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal, because they cannot be resold. That is why you approve the 3D model before printing and get three rounds of changes for free.

Do you ship outside Germany?

Yes.
